When I was checking my credit report, it says that I took out a mortgage in February of 2002 and asks for some information about it in order to verify that it is my report.

Problem is, I have never taken out a mortgage...ever. Is it possible that this is a trick question as on all of the questions there is a none of the above response? Has anyone else heard of or had this problem?

My partner knows that I hate porn and it hurts my feelings, but he won't give it up. So I told him I will get into it even though it goes against my principles and beleives. My boyfriend and I have reserved rental cars for when we are in Hawaii in February, but the car rental service said they would have to put the debit card through a screening process to see whether it meets the criteria necessary. The debit card has a VISA label on it, but I don't know what the screening process will be looking for. I just want to be prepared in case it doesn't work out. The problem is, we don't have credit cards, so we can't use that as a back up, and they only accept either debit or credit. I'm really worried about this. I'm wondering if anyone else has run into this situation and if so, whether it worked out with the debit card. I'm hoping to hear from people who have used their debit cards to rent in Hawaii. Thanks!

I know there seems like an obvious answer--of course, a hybrid apparently has less negative impact on the environment than my gas-guzzling SUV. But does the potential gain in fuel-efficiency/lower emissions outweigh the impact of getting rid of my current car--which will either be bought as a used car and keep spewing exhaust in addition to my brand new car or--perhaps worse--just sit in a junkyard and become a giant piece of litter? Of course, there's a social impact--if everyone keeps driving their SUVs instead of replacing them, it reinforces the SUV's place on our roads instead of encouraging people to look for something more eco-friendly. Some could argue owning a car at all is bad. For what it's worth, I don't know if there's a right answer. Also, whether I own the SUV or a hybrid, I'd still use it pretty rarely and would walk or take public transportation as much as possible. Thanks for any responses.

I ran my truck out of gas and now, with plenty of gas in it, I can't get it started. I've been told that you can spray Ether into the air intake but I can't figure out where that is based on other people's descriptions. It looks to me like I'd spray it on the grill 'cause that's where the tube seems to lead, but I'm warned of the dangers of using Ether and want to make sure I do it correctly. The engine is cold and fuel pump is primed. Thanks.
