My neighbour was taken into hospital as an emergency, operated on and is now several days later asking for her grown up children to come and they still haven't appeared. (They know she is in hospital I told them) Should I phone them and tell them off or is it none of my business.

Whose dumb idea was it to give them a queen? Not just an insect like queen (though they claimed it was similar) but an actual in charge handing out orders queen.

The original idea with them all as equals and functioning through the emergant hive mind as in the original episodes 'Q Who' and 'the Best of Both Worlds' were wonderful and ground breaking. Every bit as innovative as the cube shaped vessels (no aerodynamics in space, after all)

Does anyone else feel the same way?

My letter to the parents
Dear Parents/guardians,

My name is Eugenie Lee, and I am a undergraduate student at Georgia State University. I am in my third year of undergraduate school working on getting my bachelor’s in Early Childhood Education. This semester I have an internship that involves me working with the teachers at Pre K-I class. I will be in this internship for 5 weeks. During this period, I will be working with your child. I look forward to getting to know your child and helping them grow as a learner and as an individual. I am very excited about this placement and look forward to this wonderful experience.
I am an artistic person, so I would attract a child with my art skill to have children fresh ideas and enjoy art work. Also, I like to visit new places. I find myself be very energetic with new experiences. Especially, I love to see many cultures. To get new experiences, I also like to read many kinds of books. Knowledge, wisdom can be learned which are important.
I would also like to add since this is an internship I may want to use some of your child’s work and may also be using video recorder or camera to record myself so I can observe my own teaching. Will you please send this letter back checking if you wish or do not wish your child to be involved in either one of the activities? Thank you for your time.

One Sunday morning George burst into the living room and said, "Dad! Mom! I have some great news for you! I am getting married to the most beautiful girl in town. She lives a block away and her name is Susan.

After dinner, George's dad took him aside, "Son, I have to talk with you. Look at your mother George. She and I have been married 30 years. She's a wonderful wife and mother, but, she has never offered much excitement in the bedroom, so ... I used to fool around with women a lot. Susan is actually your half sister, and I'm afraid you can't marry her."

George was broken-hearted. After eight months he eventually started dating girls again.

A year later he came home and very proudly announced, "Mom, Dad ... Dianne said yes! We're getting married in June."

Again his father insisted on another private conversation and broke the sad news. "Dianne is your half sister too, George. I'm awfully sorry about this."

George was livid! He finally decided to go to his mother with the news his father had shared.

"Dad has done so much harm. I guess I'm never going to get married," he complained. "Every time I fall in love, Dad tells me the girl is my half sister."

"Heh heh," his mother chuckled, shaking her head, "Don't pay any attention to what he says. He's not really your father."

I keep getting E-mails with the ongoing scam of someone being sick who lives in Africa or England (I've received both), and they need someone to give the money to for the betterment of human kind. Or they will say they work for a U.S. based company but live abroad and can't cash the money orders they get. So they would like me to cash them and they'll give me money to do so. I'm so sick of these scams. So here's what I've done. They usually can't spell and contruct a proper sentence, so I'm going to be their English "teacher". They will be required to study for the tests I will send them. And I will point out their grammer and spelling errors in brutal honesty. haha. Maybe they'll get sick of the game and leave me alone. How do you deal with these scams if and when you get them? Also, I've tried telling them to leave me alone and putting a block to their E-mails but it doesn't work because they just change
it a little so it will go through.

I don't mean to be rude, but I keep reading these answers about how homosexuality is a sin in the bible and thus is not okay. And how premarital sex is a sin in the bible. I'm just wondering how it is that you can devote yourself to a set of "rules" so strictly. Why not say "Homosexuality is not right, to me personally, because it seems unnatural", or whatever. Why does everyone just say, "Oh, well, it's in the Bible that its a sin, so its a sin". I don't mean to be rude, so please, don't take it that way. For Christians, maybe there are some of you who question living by the standards, at one time or another. Afterall, it is a human written book. Just because it has been around for so long doesn't mean it's true or right; though, I'm not saying it isn't.
