for thousands of years parents have spanked their children. then thirty or so years ago it became a hot topic and it was looked down upon. I was born in the late 1960's and so i was a child of the spanking days. i have grown up to be a normal peaceful person with a loving disposition. yes my mother spanked me on more than one occasion. the issue is child abuse. i can understand and support laws for beating a child. there is no sense for an adult to take out there problems and frustrations on a child. but is a spanking the same as abuse? my opinion is that in the last thirty years children have become more and more rebelious because of this subject. they know that they will not get a spanking. they know if they are told they must take a time out and they refuse nothing will happen to them. if a child is 2 yrs old and up, in my opinion a normal spanking does more good than harm. How do you feel?

My finace has an 11 year old daughter. The mother is married with 3 other children. She (the mother) seems to think that they all will being coming to the wedding. I do not care for the woman, in fact more than likely she or her children will end up embarassing me. (They have been known to do that at other weddings.) What would be a polite way to tell her "HELL NO and ARE YOU KIDDING ME?" By the way...She tends to hold grudges and is two faced. For example...she invited me to be her friend on MYSPACE, I ingored her request and then she asked me why. She tends to talk bad about me in front of the daughter and I hear about it.

How do I get fish to cross breed if I dont know their sex? I currently have 5 fish in a 10 gallon tank. We only know 2 of the types- Tiger Barb and a Pink Kissing Gourami. the others are - 2 of them are orangish yellow with black and blue fins.
the other is completely orange and is fat. How do i get any of these to mate?

Ive been with someone for three years. but recently, ive had HUGE feelings for another person. we get on really well. he's one of those people that i can just talk to for hours and never have to think what to say. i'm 16 now. And i've been with my boyfriend since i was 13. we've kind of grown up together. And we're so close. I love him so much. I mean, i feel so good when im with him. In the last 7 months I have been eating very healthy; I've only drank water, milk, and juice for over a year; and I've been taking a good multivitamin, echinacea with vitamin C, vitamin E, and vitamins A & D every day. I take probiotics when I can remember before I go to bed; and I try to get 7-8 hours of sleep each night.
3 weeks ago I had a sore throat, and I lost half of my voice, after about a week, I was pretty much over it. then 3 days ago I started coughing and my throat got sore again, I lost almost all of my voice yesterday, and I didn't have any energy at all! I didn't even feel like moving. I've been coughing up this nasty junk. and I feel a lot better today. I know this stuff is going around like crazy, but is there anything more I can do to prevent from getting it again?
