His father and I have been divorced since he was 2yrs old. We also have a 13yr old, who after a custody battle last year was scared by his father into living with him on a 1yr trail basis. We are to go back to court in April for a review and he has already starting the mental abuse. He tells them if they don't want to live with him he won't take them on vacation, or hunting, etc. He bought them both dirt bikes for Christmas which he is now threating to take back if they don't both agree to live with him...I could go on and on about his little tricks. Any suggestions would be great!

Lets say I retire in the future with 2 million dollars(Roth IRA+401K). I am thinking of a way to maintain that money, but while trying to live on the interest I Could possibly get. Let me know if this makes sense. Lets say I have that 2 million and I use 1 million of it. I can do what I like with the 1 million and invest the other 1 million in a 1 year cd at say 5% APY. Is my math correct here? That means on the interest of that CD(which I believe is paid out monthly) I would get $4,167 montly just in interest. I am thinking it would be smart to try to maintain the money I have from my retirement. I could then live off that interest for as long as I feel necessary and then take out my 1 mill principal and throw it together with my other 1 million. I have been retired, but will show no loss financially. Now my point of doing this would be to leave my grandchildren some money for college and other things like that. Obviously I cant take the money with me, but I could pass it on. Thoughts

I think when you add together the crusades, the inquisition, colonizing of asia, africa and the americas the clear 'winner' is christianity.

I have was seeing a gemini guy 28 on an off for half a year, but he wasn't in the frame of mind for a relationship at this moment in time. The thing is from day 1 we were like soulmates, got on very well intellectually and always had so much fun. But he really doesn't want anything serious right now at this point in time, I have tried to move on several occasions but he always comes back saying that he misses me, he misses my company, someone to talk to and liaise with, and even says that I am perfect for him but he still dosen't want a relationship right now, but likes me alot. So I have decided to move on for good, how and why would he let me move on if we gel so well like he says? how do I get him to miss me and want me back. I know he doesn't like possesiveness from what he has told me from previous relationships. But I need to know what would attract a Gemini to making you want an ex or someone back? situations that you have been in and wanted someone back, advice appreciated!

if i recall, bush has been in office for 8 months before it happened (not that i'm blaming bush...im one of the few people who say that nobody is to blame but the terrorists, not bush or clinton or anybody else.) dont you think its ironic that nobody blamed george bush sr. for the first world trade center attacks, and clinton had only been in office 38 days when it happened. why are people so quick to blame clinton now, and not bush sr. years ago?

I’ve always wondered why in the last century the human mind just took off to another level of higher intelligence?
It's like, it took over 1,900 years & then suddenly we could come up with making decent cars, planes, mobile phones, DVDs, tapes etc etc the list is endless! ‘Most’ of this stuff only happened in the last century, why is that?
And will this burst of technology continue into this century or will it slow down again?

Thanking you in advance!

Would a female hairdresser (working) at a hair salon, be able to tell a guy what hairstyles are "in, in style" at current (the present?)

I feel as though, I would sound silly if I walked into a salon and asked a staff member there something like for instance: "Hi, would there be a hairdresser here, who could tell me what hairstyles are in, (in style/if not popular) at the moment?

I mean, these days people are using less words and shorter sentences to express themselves but before this was different.
I cannot even understand most of the original, old novels...
Can this be a reality?
