Love it. I try not to get too commercial. Just a card will do. In a childish way, I get a bit 'nerdishly romantic.' I'm always thinking up different ways to disguise my handwriting, or cover my tracks (one year, I was posting a card, and the very girl I was posting it to phoned me on my mobile as I was placing it in the letter box!)
Often I have to 'pluck up the courage' to do this, and have sometimes nearly bottled out of sending the card (like last year, even though I eventually did send it). I guess it's a good thing though - it always makes the moment meaningful to me.
There are a lot of miserable gits who have posted answers to this question, saying that it's 'just another day.' I would never want to live like that. Doing things like this stops me from drifting into 'living-on-autopilot-mode.'
I like to send out positive and loving thoughts to such people on the day. Hopefully this will also become a habit to last the whole year.
Guessing who has sent me cards is also fun, although I did get one 4 years ago, and I still have no idea who it is from!

When I was younger I thought it was great sending someone a card without the name. However when I RECEIVED ONE it was initially a great mystery that tormented me for weeks . Now however, single with 2 children I realise open displays of affection can sometimes be embarrassing to watch. However I would rather see that than the price on cards nowadays after all there shouldn't be a price tag on love.

I look forward to it, but it's hard with all the commercialism. I like it as a day to spend with my man, but it's difficult when you can't get a reservation to go out anywhere and the traffic is horrible! Sometimes we just go out the night after or before, but it just doesn't feel the same.

I used to hate Valentine's day with a passion sending out negative energy to couples in love LOL...Well, all that has changed since I met my boyfriend because I am seeing floating hearts in the air.
