Generally, a good fitness program incorporates both weight training and aerobics. Doing squats and dead lifts on the same day that you run is no different than riding the treadmill and doing lunges. Your body will tell you if these exercises cannot be worked effectively in conjunction with each other. I play basketball or do martial arts on my leg day. My body responds well to it and I get more out of my squats by going deeper and using less weight. When I don't plan to do other activity before or after my leg workout, I go pretty heavy.

Is that all you can do in a day? Man, you are a wimp. Just kidding. Seriously, You need to realize something. Your body needs rest, because not only does your body need to recover, but it is at rest that your body builds muscles. When you exercise, you break down your muscles, then rest time allows your body to build back your muscles even stronger.
So,what I see is that the running may decrease your muscle size a bit because you may be overtaxing your body and running tends to promote leaner smaller muscles and not the "BIG" muscles, so for you, it may be okay. PS remember, it is also going to be harder for you to run if you already wore out your muscles with weights, Or harder to lift weights if you run first. Of course, you can get away with more when you are young, but once you hit 80, need to cut back a bit.

exercise no more than 45 minutes a day, and skip days sometimes. Up to 45 minutes or so, your body is using testosterone . After an hour, your body starts producing cortisol to handle the "burden" of the workout. And cortisol is a bad, harmful hormone.

No, as long as you don't over do and strain anything. Most runners do lift and run on the same day. Just don't lift the same muscles on consecutive days.

Better not on the same day,bec both are streneous. You can perform better and get better results if you seperate running day from strength training.
