do you think that learning english is difficoult for foreign people?

I agree with Buster. We moved here from Switzerland when I was 10. I had the hardest time with some of the grammatical and pronunciation rules! Take the letters a u g h t e r. If you put a "D" in front of them, it's an entirely different sound than if you put an "L" in front of them!

Very difficult: for example: though, through, thought, bough, bow, bought,dessert, desert, and millions of other words....

The verbs are easy to conjugate, but the language is very difficult to write.

well, it really depends on how much time you spend in learning it, and how hard you try.

I learned english all by myself, without any teachers whatsoever, and I can tell you it was a little hard.

oh, and I'm a native spanish speaker, btw.

it wasn't difficult for me (i'm croatian). i think italians have a lot of problems w/ the pronounciation...
