I've always been interested in selling real estate, but have been apprehensive because of the lack of benefits. Foxtons advertises a $35,000 base salary, company car, cell phone, laptop, and leads. I understand that if they offer this, then the commission end would more than likely be less than a traditional real estate agent. If you work for them, how long have you been in real estate, and how long have you been with them? What is realistic first year income for someone with solid sales skills? If you don't have your real estate license, will they allow you to work while you get it? I have worked my whole life in a commission environment, but have always been given a base salary of at least $35,000 so it interests me as a way to enter the real estate game, and I'd just like some feedback :-)
