I met my roomates on an apartment referral site and they suck. They are messy and annoying. So, I am moving out after living with them for 4 months (it was a month to month arrangement). I gave them 45 days notice and it was agreed that I would use my deposit as last month's rent.
Now, my move date is 2 weeks away and they want me to pay last month's rent. They said they will give me the deposit at the end of the month. But, if it was already agreed on, I don't think I'm being out of line by telling them I'm not going to give them the money. If they don't have the money now, they aren't going to have it in three weeks... I don't want to get screwed out of $600. Am I right??
I am just afraid they might try something... Like stealing my stuff.

Specifically, how do I handle a tax form for a refund that my ex and I received from our state of Georgia 2005 return. I know that it must be counted as income. The problem is that we filed jointly last year and now we must file as singles. The tax form shows both of our names but only his SSS number. I am willing to count the income as mine but I am concerned that he may be held accountable at some point because it is tied to his SSS number. Any help will be greatly appreciated! As I mentioned above, the state tax refund is from Georgia.

U.S. citizens are not the only ones impacted by the war casualties, but Iraqi people suffer for the same reason. Unfortunately, innocent bystanders in Iraq have been killed as a result of the war. It is unfair that Iraqis have to live in the midst of a raging war. The sooner the United States military leaves Iraq, the more lives will be preserved.

about a year ago i gained about 30 pounds and got up to about 155 then i relized it and decided to try to loose some now i weight 125 lbs. 5'6" and everyone now telling me i am loosing to much the thing that i hate is my DD titties are going too, but i aint tryin to loose any more i just am. how do you stop if your not tryin???i want my boobies back too !!! any thing to help with that besides getting falsies?

I just my tongue pierced a week ago and my tongue is fine, however, manuvering food around the tongue ring is an impossible chore for me. So i simply remove the bar momentarily until i am finished eating, rinse with antiseptic and replace bar. Mind you this is extremely brief, merely minutes at a time. Is this really that bad? There is no pain or discomfort during removal and my tongue never really swelled. Any advice? Does anyone else do or has done this?

Everyone seems to think that the end of the World is coming. They all seem to have neg. thoughts and intentions. The Four Horsemen and the Apocalypse and all that fun stuff, but the signs that they are looking for have been repeated over the years, since the beginning of time. Whatever "signs" people see, such as War and pestilence have reoccured over many years, hell this country is built on War, but that is overlooked when people say that the world is going to end this time.

Why don't we live like the world isn't going to end, and stop being so dour and pitiful and do something about the ecological system and war. It isn't written in stone people.

Will you try and make a difference? Be positive and believe that we can make the world a better place and stop damning it.

My work is really strict, and i need my job to support myself and my unborn child ( im not married). Anyway i woke up with a sore throat, Im only 10 weeks along. The paper my doctor gave me said if you sick before 12 weeks, try to rest, and drink plenty of fluids so you dont take any medicines which are bad. Anyway im feeling really sluggish and i woke up with a sore throat, so i just called in sick. its a very physcial job so resting is impossible there. Also i have 9 sick days left to use til july ( Out of 11 total) . so did i do the right thing?

Is it true that in America we have a double standard regarding womens makeup and dressing for out in public .

On the one hand alot of effort goes into pushing and keeping the chest out and cleavage showing.

Makeup put on -hair styled- alot of leg showing at times
tight jeans helping to reveal alot of curves- shoes that help to finish off that sexy touch etc., etc.

Now don't get me wrong- I don't disagree and actually enjoy visually complimenting the effort that goes into most of it...Really!

But the thing that confuses me is the attitude by the female persuasion that says..."WWwwwaaaiiitttt aaa mmiinnnuuttee !!!! Your NOT suppose to look at that...your a male pig!..married! got a girlfriend! yadayadayada!!!

It's built into the guys to react by looking ladies...if it's out there for us to see then what do you expect.

BTW: I'm happily married and both my wife and I compare notes about others dress and looks, both male and female- it doesn't seem to bother us.

I really need some money right now and I was thinking of taking my laptop to the pawn shop to put it in hawk for money. In case not everyone knows how that works, basically you loan the shop something of value, they give you money for it, and you have to buy it back within a certain period of months or they keep it.

My laptop is a Dell Inspiron 2600, it's about three years old, it's in good condition, the plastic on the outside has a dent in it but there's no marks or damage on any important part of it. It works fine, has a wireless modem card, has the basic programs that came with it.

Could anyone give me any kind of estimate on what the average pawn shop would probably offer me? Thanks.
