Reality is everything which we each encounter and all the thoughts that we think.
Reality changes with perspective so reality for you is not the same as reality for me or for the spider in the corner of my bedroom or for the trees outside the window or the stars in teh heavesn or the bacteria surrounding a thermal vent in the pacific ocean.
It is necessary to be sentient in order to experience reality, but not to participate in it. A pebble is not aware that it is a pebble, and yet if i pick up the rock in my garden i can experience it in my reality, and if i throw it at my wifes head, i will soon discover that it is also a significant (perhaps increasingly significant) part of her reality, and then in turn my reality once again.
To all those who say that reality is a lie, I would encourage them to 'send' all of 'their' 'money' to 'me'. If reality doesn't exist in their heads, then their money is effectively pointless and it will do no harm to anything if they pass it on to me. Its not as if any of it actually exists, apparently.

What is truth? If you pre-suppose there is an objective reality outside of ourselves, then the post-modern assertions that reality and truth are whatever I want them to be are ridiculous.
Reality is objective. Try walking into a gas station with a gun and attempt to stand there without moving for 30 minutes. The reality is, you will get arrested.
Reality = truth = history. Only our perception of reality is what is subjective.

Well reality is made of three:
The Observer: Consciousness/The Soul
And The Observed: The World; which is basically energy, and forces
The only one outside of this is the Creator of the Observer and the Observed....
And that would be God
thanks
and have a good reality/day

Watch the Japanese movie "Rashomon" for a profound exploration of this question. The movie is based upon two tales by Akutagawa Ryunosuke that he copied from a medieval collection. Actually, the movie concerns "Yabu no Naka" more than "Rashomon". The story is a Zen koan on objective versus subjective reality. Three people are involved in an incident, and each of them has a totally different story about the climax. The book leaves it hanging, but the movie brings in an impartial observer, and we see why each person told the tale his or her way to evade blame.

Reality is the reason we all live and work. Reality consists of four things..........romance, comedy, tragedy and death. Reality is the thing that makes people partake in surveys and lie about how much they earn or what they do. Reality is seeing your enemy from high school and realising that she was right. She is better looking than you!!!
Reality is the place we can run away from.......but it always finds us.
Reality sucks!!!!

Reality is the illusion that what's going on around you is normal. If more of us could see beyond reality, the world would be a much nicer place for us all.

Hi there. Reality is the stuff that keeps getting in the way when you try to bend things to your will. When something shows resistence, then that is reality. Its exact nature can never be known, because our entire perception of it is only its effect, i.e. to thwart what we will.
Cheers, Steve.
