I stopped eating sandwiches for lunch and switched to salads. But, eating just vegetables is not filling me up enough for work. An hour after my lunch break I'm hungry again. A friend suggested SlimFast, which worked great, but the milk is really bad for my sinuses right now. Another friend suggested eating plain brown rice with plain vegetables for lunch. Is that a good suggestion for losing weight? Any other suggestions?

I have a friend who I would do anything for. She and I have been through a lot together and I have ALWAYS been there for her when she needed me. I recently got engaged and my parents announced it to a bunch of friends over for dinner one night (herself included). Her entire demeanor changed and she ended up leaving early. She didn't even really congratulate me. And ever since she hasn't called me as much (eventhough I've called her) and has been really distant. The last time we talked she was telling me how people shouldn't even bother getting married because everyone ends up divorcing anyway and how people in general should be "really sure" if they want to get married in a church to someone. This really hurt my feelings as I felt she was totally saying this to me indirectly. Why would you say that to your best friend? I have been with my fiance for 3 years now and she, if anyone, knows how happy we are. Then why is she acting so mean to me? What should I do?

I have a new dog who needs walking and training, 3 cats whose litterboxes seem to need constant cleaning, classes all day Tuesday, work all day Wednesday and Thursday, lots of school work (I'm in grad school), and I have become primarily responsible for household stuff like running errands, cleaning, etc. Walking the dog isn't enough for me, I love to sweat and I like to do weights.

I'm really into bowling, and am actually pretty good. I carry about a 188 average, and have shot 260 plus twice in the last 3 weeks. I'm thinking about getting a lesson to improve my consistency, and raise my average, but I don't know if it would help much at my level. I am convinced that I have the ability to carry a 200+, but I haven't been able to get there yet.

Music is a powerful thing. It can take us back to our first kiss, our first dance, our wedding day. It can make you smile, it can make you cry...sometimes both at once. So what's your favorite love song...and why? (if you want)

Does anyone remember that series of coffee comercials from the late eighties/early nineties that was the on going story of the blossoming romance between two middle age, academic looking neighbors who are always borrowing coffee from each other. What kind of coffee was it? What was the story and how did it end?

we just got a girl cocker spaniel who is white and brown. I wanted to give her an unusal name but not too hard to pronounce. I thought a American Indian name would be great. I want to know the meaning of the name as well and how to say it. Any ideas? She loves the water so something with that would be great, or mountains, or snow...

he wants me to lose weight for him (when he first wanted it i weighed about 125, at 5', still wants me to lose more n im 115). we have these awful arguments where he never backs down, no matter how wrong he is, bc he needs to win every argument ever, and somehow he does bc i get sick of crying over it. he calls me stupid a lot... he kinda 'rapes' me- i'll tell him that i really don't want it cuz it hurts sometimes after too much u know, but he still does it. , he's an overly friendly person, meaning he's very touchy feely w/ his female friends. but he's also the sweetest guy i've ever met. he says he cares about me and loves me and he is just the best bf i've ever had, and i love him to death. there's so much good in our relationship, but the bad stuff just makes me cry soo much. oh, and if a gf slaps her bf, should the bf slap back? idk, i guess its ok. just want some opinions. oh and he's like my only friend at my college and if i lose him i will really have no one at all.

my 7.5 month old daughter has dry spots on her head. we thought it was cradle cap at first, but its getting Bad. i took her 2 the doctor, and they tested for yeast/fungal infection, but both were negitive. He wants to treat her for Ringworm, however, i dont think its ringworm. Since ringworm is a fungus, i thought doing the fungus screening would rule it out. also it is not in rings its in shape-less patches.the entire area is very dry and flaky, and it seems to itch pretty badly. my daughter tries to itch and scratches herself making bloodly spots. she will rub her head on things.

when i looked up ringworm it said it usually is bad around the edges then it gets better in the middle. it is the oppisite with my daughter, the edges are just starting to get flaky and the middle looks really bad.
there is no puss or oozing from the spots, and i can comb her hair and the flakes come off and it turns into red patches. however it is back to the same in the morn.

Has any one read these anti-mathematics anti-science books. I found them on a yahoo answers . I downloaded some-they are free- THey argue that all mathematics and science is meaningless becuase they collapse into self contradiction and are full of paradozx that makes them meaningless. The mystery is how they work when logically they are meaninlngless/self-contradictory
