we just got a girl cocker spaniel who is white and brown. I wanted to give her an unusal name but not too hard to pronounce. I thought a American Indian name would be great. I want to know the meaning of the name as well and how to say it. Any ideas? She loves the water so something with that would be great, or mountains, or snow...

"Mato" (pronounced May-toe) is the Lakota Sioux word for 'bear'. We used to have a cuddly pup named Mato; she kind of looked like a teddy bear. :)
