I have to post this question in the Nascar message board cause i don't think anyone ever looks or checks the IRL message board. when i looked, there were only 2 questions. Also what's the average attendance for an IRL race, not counting the Indy 500.

I heard this scenario on NPR:

The Christian friend of an atheist was dying.

Weeping, the dying woman asked her atheist friend to please return to Christianity so that she could die knowing her close friend would not be sent to hell. (I know this sounds manipulative, but it seems the woman strongly held this belief and was sincere.)

The atheist woman tried to be reassuring without ridiculing her friend's beliefs. However, she would not say she believed something she did not.

How would you handle a similar scenario?

okay, so the guy i like is really into hockey. i've called his house twice before, once leaving a message, and once, his sister answered saying he wasn't home. i was trying to ask about when his hockey games were. i want to invite him to a hockey game tomorrow with one of my friends, but i dunno if it would be awkward for me to call again. apparently his whole family knows i called before...what should i do? should i invite him tomorrow or just talk to him this week during school and ask him to go next weekend?
...i really want to go tomorrow...please help!!!

Here's the thing: My upstairs neighbor has 4 kids, and they just moved in upstairs above me and I understand that there's going to be noise, but I mean I hear their every waking movement! It's like they have no regard for someone living below them, and it's as if they're dropping canned goods every 30 seconds! We've never formally met, but I'm afraid to go introduce myself at this point because they are pissing me off, and I could come off WAY wrong!

i think my girlfriends mom has problems wit me like being touchy with her daughter, cuz her moms friend saw my girlfriend and me like being all touchy if you kno what i mean, and her mom wasnt so happy when she heard that. As a follow up to an earlier question I posted about my girlfriend's parents, I'm curious as to why Catholics dislike atheists so much. Isn't there something about loving your fellow man in that religion, or was it just fellow Catholics? Maybe I've just met some nasty people in my time, but many Catholics whom I have met do not think too highly of me.
