What do I need to know to cosplay?

I'm going to CosPlay Ritsuka from Loveless, and I was wondering if you had tips for me/ information about Ritsuka that I could use.

Probably the most advise to give is to have fun with it. If you purchased the costume just enjoy it and roleplay t he characters characeristics (usually just a pose they may do in anime) that you saw while watching. If you are creating the costume just have fun picking out the materials and creating it. Cosplay is all about enjoying what you are doing and who you are dressed as, no matter how good or bad the costume may be. Usually you don't need to know the character to do a good cosplay if you are just going to be walking around. As long as you have picture poses in mind (you can make them up) then you are good.
