My birthday is coming up soon. I want to have a slumber party with one or two people, but my mom wants me to invite people whom I don't want to invite. And I'm scared that if I tell my mom, she won't understand. What do I do?

Why wouldn't she understand? It's your birthday, you should be able to choose who you'd like to have. Let your Mom know that you may not enjoy yourself very much if your not with the friends that you like to spend time with. If she is being unreasonable, then just pass on the slumber party and maybe have some friends out to bowl or something.

If you only want to have one or two people, then you should be able to present it to your mom as, you'd have a better time with just a couple of good friends rather than having more people over that you don't know quite as well, and the ones you know the best that are the truest friends are _____ and _____ . I'll bet if you refrain from criticizing the ones you don't want to invite and phrase things just right that she'll agree to the slumber party. If she does suggest these other kids anyway, then rather than say "I don't like that person," you could say something along the lines of, "____ has some good qualities but is not one of my best friends."

Be Honesty with your mother and better yet be honesty with yourself.
Let your mother know who you would like to come to your party, so know one feeling will get hurt.
