I am a male high school senior in the US, born and raised in the US. I am interested in this girl but there is this guy in my class who talks with a British accent and all the girls are all over him, including the girl I'm interested in. He has a girlfriend but he is a very smooth talker, smoother than I am. So he chats up like every girl and I can't hold a conversation with the girl I want because she just leaves and starts talking to this British guy lol. I have tried copying how he approaches girls but really the only differences between him and me are: he has a British accent; and he makes the occasional sexist comment to shock girls, and then says "oh i was just kidding." Also he shares a class with her, and I don't. He flirts with girls but just for fun, everyone knows he has a girlfriend and he's just joking around.

How do I compete with the flippin' British accent???

Every time I'm in competition or racing (usually at high speeds or when pushing it to the edge) with one on the streets or tracks (especially when I have some fear ) suddenly I get this sharp concentrated pulsing pain in my lower portion of the spinal chord (way at the bottom where it almost ends). It subsides, once I slow down or get more comfortable. Is it because of the endorphin/adrenaline release?
Do everyone experience this in such condition.

I grew up with my mother being mother and father to her three children. My father has been abroad ever since i was born and has never played a active role in my life. I have been given a chance to attend University where i was given a full 4yrs scholarship. My dad does not know about it and has recently developed interest in me since i started school. So i decide to milk him dry. I told him i need my tuition to be paid and he sent it fully. Iam planning on doing it for the next four years, is that so wrong? cause it feels so right, i just put the money in my bank account, i consider it has paying back for his absence.

I have a 2000 Plymouth Neon and it has 97,000 miles on it. I recently got a minor tune up but now my check engine light is on and my car acts as if it wants to cut off when I stop at a stop light or for a short period of time. It kicks off in short spurts and then slows down. What is wrong wit my baby?

My wife left her dog in the car with the windows part way down and some lady asked her why she brought a mean dog to town. She tried to stick her hand in the window (with a toddler) and he growled at them. She said he whined when he saw the kid. He loves kids, but is very protective of the truck. I've known this girl for 7 months now. I told her from the start that I wasn't interested in her in a boyfriend-girlfriend way.....and that I would just like to be friends. Unfortunately she fell head over heels for me and now she cant get over me. At first I thought it was just a crush.... but she's since told me its the real deal (shed do anything for me)...I've tried to hook her up with others...but she doesnt want them. She knows I dont like her. It really sucks knowing that shes really into me, and I'm just not attracted to her.

i just finished my undergraduate bachellor of business administration degree in finance & economics. i would like to pursue an mba or phd in 2 years (after gaining some market experience). any advice? can i apply straight to the phd program? what are the steps? any exams? how to study? how many years do i have to study to get a phd in finance? what are best schools and what are the costs (per annum). are there any scholarships available? i am a very good student with a gpa of 3.7 (A-), and i live in chicago. any advice would be greatly appreciated. is it even worthwhile to pursue a phd? please provide as much information as possible (include a link, if you can).

I'm a very shy girl and I normally don't make out with random people. I met this guy on a Euro trip in a train and he gave me his number but I never called him back.

We bumped into each other at this pub crawl few days later and I had a lot of guys running after me but I only waned to spend my time with this guy. He was also surrounded by a lot of girls and couple times we got close to making out but it just didn't happen.

It's been 7 months now since the trip and we email each other every once in a while. I finally got the guts to ask him why didn't he took the chance of making out with me when he had it and he said I was too slow in doing and not to worry about things. It may just happen if we bumped into each other again....And that was it !!

Is it okay being slow in doing things? Does innocent girls bother guys? Is it possible that nothing might happen with me and this guy cuz I'm too shy? I like him a lot and will be in his homeland for a year due to work. Wat shud i do?
