I love candles, try something relaxing like violet. If that's to 'girly' for you then try something like pine, cedar, or sandalwood. I would be impressed with any guy who had a nice smelling apartment just for me. You could also get an oil burner and some essential oils. I think oil burners work better at dispersing aroma all over your house faster than a candle can.
Any natural foods store should carry any scent of oil you could ever want and oil burners.

Cowboy by Tyler Candle Co. It is a leathery smell. It is as masculine as it gets. Here are some more fragrance descriptions by them.

Intense
A provocative masculine scent, mysterious & powerful, yet slightly youthful & naive.

Homecoming
Memories come to mind of falling leaves, football games and family gatherings. Spiced orange and cinnamon are combined with allspice to complete this warm and inviting fragrance.

Beache Blonde
A crisp invigorating scent reminiscent of sand, warm suntan oil & sea mist. Very inviting & somewhat overpowering, hence the name Beach Blonde.

Envay
Daring almost arrogant blend of Italian Bergamot, Brazilian orange & galbanium begin the captivation. Masculine patchouli, amber & velvet musk combine to mesmerize & amaze. Extremely long lasting, never complacent...Brilliant & Unforgettable.

Kaffe
An edible indulgence. Strong coffee enriched with sweet caramel. Ultimately a warm inviting aroma blended with creamy vanilla.

Plane old sage is a good neutral scent too.

Go to Pier 1, they have the best candles there and a good selection. Just smell them all and choose the one that appeals to you because you are the one that has to live with the smell. A woman will appreciate any scent from that store.

MAN CANDLE>>>>>>>>>Soy candles hold scents GREAT and burn much longer. Mellow baked goods smells (vanilla, nutty, buttery) and Coffee scents....try Swan Creek Candle Company...perfumed candles mixed with food, cologne, etc...can really stand out versus the comforting (relaxing) smell of baked cookies.

They have a money back gaurantee..my husband and sons don't usually like the candles I burn...they love these.

A guy (or gal even) can like anything. There is no counting for tastes!! We all have our own likes and dislikes. But I would not say that liking smelly candles is a hobby. Some people are very sensitive to fragrances, so you need to be careful where you use them. In your room is fine... take care when anyone comes over to visit you.

The Glade candles that are out are so amazing. They are so cheap but smell so good! I got some for my apartment because I thought they smelled like mens cologne...try them! The scent is called Moonlit Walk.

Just smell like you, it is a natural attraction. When your in love and smell the person- you cant bottle that or make a candle. Im talking about every one of us has a scent. So that is why crazy women sniff the pillow or shirt of a man after he leaves. And guys sniff our panites... huh???????
