I've known this girl for 7 months now. I told her from the start that I wasn't interested in her in a boyfriend-girlfriend way.....and that I would just like to be friends. Unfortunately she fell head over heels for me and now she cant get over me. At first I thought it was just a crush.... but she's since told me its the real deal (shed do anything for me)...I've tried to hook her up with others...but she doesnt want them. She knows I dont like her. It really sucks knowing that shes really into me, and I'm just not attracted to her.
Being an a***le doesnt work.
I just want to help her get over me....Help?!?

Sit her down and tell her the truth. Tell her that you are not the one for her. That she is a fine friend, but there is no chance of a relationship with you. Share how uncomfortable her refusal to deal w/ reality is making you. Tell her that for now, it would be best for you to not spend time together...and then hold to it. Tell her to have more self respect for herself, and that there are many other nice guys out there who will return her feelings...and wisher her well. Good Luck! :)

Don't suppose you're gay, that would be an easy fix. Do you want to stay friends with her? Because if you do, I don't think she's going to give up.
You can try dating other girls, or better get a girlfriend, and talking to her less. Don't smile at her, but noticeably smile at other people. And don't hang out with her or have conversations in private, unless you need to have "the talk" with her.
If it gets really bad, you're going to have to stop talking to her. Just tell her bluntly you're uncomfortable being around her and you don't think you could be friends anymore. Don't be too nice about it, or she'll never give up.

If being a jerk doesn't work maybe distancing yourself from her as much as possible will. Obviously she can tell herself that you're being an a$$ to "push her away" ignore it and continue her passion for you. Perhaps this crush is the best thing she has romantically & she can't pull herself away from it even though it's unhealthy. In any case it's not your responsibility to find her a date or continually ward off her advances. So the best is to avoid her, never contact her. Good luck!

thats tough - i was going to say just be really mean- be a complete and total jerk. it might not feel great, but i know from experience that is the best way to get over a guy- if u can hate him...
its hard if you're like, oh he doesnt like me, but hes really nice, maybe we can still be friends, so then u still hang out and stuff- u have to just hate him, so that u never want to see him again- then u can move on

Being an azzhole is wrong and you shouldn't try to hurt her feelings just to get her away from you.
Just keep emphasizing that you just aren't interested in her and that you will have to end your friendship with her if she won't accept that.
Honesty is the best policy. Keep reminding her that you do not want to strike up a relationship and pretty soon, she'll get the picture.

I dont know what to tell ya...except by saying ...Look, I cant change the way I feel but I am not into you like you are me. You are not my type. I dont and wont have those kind of feelings for you. And I dont like having to say these things to you, I was hoping you could pick up on it. Your just wasting your time with me..Please just understand this!!!
