I'm 14, turning 15 on March 12 this year, and I'm currently weighing 65.5 kilograms/144 pounds, and I am 150 cm tall. I am losing weight healthily on a diet (at a rate of around 0.5 kilograms/1 pound per week). However, I do not know what my ideal weight is. I have checked with my physical education teacher, and she says that I will only be at an ideal weight when I reach 44 kilograms/97 pounds, which means I have to lose about one-third of my body weight. Is the information that my teacher given me accurate? Losing one-third of my body weight to reach my ideal weight sounds a little weird to me.
