uhmmm....
your question is synonimous to what will happen if there's no food.
basically, all life in earth will vanish.
the side of the earth were there is no light will be the first one to die. no sunlight means no photosynthesis. it means no food at all.
the ice caps will melt and at the same time the other side will be burned...
its too sad

Here we have to consider the earth revolving on its own axis and its rotation around the sun.
1) If earth stops revolving itself, one half would be eternally facing the sun and the other half would be eternally cold. The earth will not burst but life form as we know will become extinct.
2) If earth stops revolving the Sun, it will collapse into the Sun. The revolution of a planet around its star resists the gravity of the star from pulling it to the star. If the earth stops revolving, it will succumb to the sun's gravity.

The side facing the sun will be continuously daytime and the other side will be continuously nighttime. Also, the earth's wobble would cease so there would be no more seasons. Also, the sunny side would become very hot and the dark side, very cold. But, there's no need to worry because all life would already be extinguished since the sun would have spent it's nuclear fuel and vaporized the inner planets by then.

One side will heat up bad and simultaneously the other one will start freezing.Due to extreme temprature difference there will be lot of weather problems and also problems beneath the earth's crust. So eventually the earth will end up in a KABOOM!!!

Well if the earth stopped rotation then one side would heat up, really hot and the other side would cool down. Neither side would be inhabitable for animals or plants, so even if you did manage to survive you would have nothing to eat.
