Hello Sharon, grass can be cut at any time of the year if it needs it. There are a few guidelines though..... don't cut it if it's too wet or there's frost. If there's a lot of worm casts on your lawn, the mower will smear them all over, but the rain will get rid of them. Don't listen to anyone who says you shouldn't cut your grass in winter! I had to do mine again last week. Hope that helps, x

If its a push mower, no problems at all, just ensure you do not cut the grass short or you may cause some damage.
If you have a ride on, definately not, you'll just tear the lawn to peices.

Mowed all day today!
We are on a 10 day schedule right now.
Once things cool down and the rain lets up, We can shift to a every other week schedule.
In Feb; we can get away with a 3 week, but the weeds are looking kinda tall.

Yes, some people cut them throughout the year providing there is no heavy frost or rain. In fact with the milder weather occurring it is necessary to do so.

if you are in the uk it is to early to cut the lawn as there will prob be severe frost in jan/feb. if you were to cut it, the grass would prob be killed or severly damaged in frost leaving you with yellow patches on your lawn which in turn will allow moss to grow in its place as it is able to withstand frost better. if you wernt to cut your grass it'l prob not grow much more anyway in the cold weather, until feb

if it is growing right now and needs it then go ahead as long as it is dry enough. for the most part grass and tough and make it through it.
