I would really love a blackberry, but I don't to have to pay an ongoing monthly amount to have it on a contract etc. Are there any PDA's which aren't mobile phones. In other words are there any I can just buy outright and not have to pay any additional costs for each month?

E.g. Insurance companies want SSNs before they will issue a policy or rate an additional driver for a policy.

As far as I've heard, the SSN is to be used for tax purposes only. Many businesses use SSN as a client identifier rather than coming up with their own numbering schema. SSN system is the intellectual property of the Social Security Administration, thus not to be used by others for record management purposes.

And just a peave of mine, I think the real reason insurance companes want the SSN is to pull credit reports as data to justify increased rates, under the cloak of "managing financial risk". Gee, if a person has poor credit, does it make sense to make things more expensive for them?

This is a PING off of a previous Q&A...

Studies show that Republicans have on average more than three kids while Democrats have less than two. They also show that Christians tend to have much more than secular folks.

So, please tell

1.) how many kids do you want/have
2.) Where you're from (state or country)
3.) How you vote typically (R) or (D)
4.) Are you religious or secular/spiritual/Wiccan/Pagan/whatever you call it?

Let me be the first to answer...
1.) 6
2.) Colorado
3.) R
4.) yes

in 2008, if you are in the lowest tax bracket, your capital gains will be taxed at 0%. My question is whether the amount of the capital gain realized matters in this scenario. If one had a large capital gain, would it be possible to pay the 0% federal tax on it if their wage income still left them in the low tax bracket?

I already have the ruby slipper type heels with glitter and everthing. Now I need suggestions on what to wear as an outfit. Something other than a blue and white checkered dress but maybe a blue and white shirt. It has to be school appropriate if possible. If you have any suggestions or links to where I could purchase an item, please let me know. Thanks in advance!

A Priest and a Rabbi were riding in a plane. After a while, the Priest turned to the Rabbi and asked, "Is it still a requirement of your faith that you not eat pork?"

The Rabbi responded, "yes, that is still one of our beliefs."

The Priest then asked, "Have you ever eaten pork?"

To which the Rabbi replied, "Yes, on one occasion I did succumb to temptation and tasted pork."

The Priest nodded in understanding and went on with his reading.

A while later, the Rabbi spoke up and asked the Priest, "Father, is it still a requirement of your church that you remain chaste?"

The Priest replied "Yes, that is still very much a part of our faith."

The Rabbi then asked him, "Father, have you ever fallen to the temptations of the flesh?"

The Priest replied, "Yes Rabbi, on one occasion I was weak and broke with my faith."

The Rabbi nodded understandingly for a moment and then said, "a lot better than pork isn't it?"

Do men (and in some cases women) really fall for the ditzy-cute thing some women do to get attention? and why is it that some men usually go for whats easiest and not for what's concrete?? I really find that annoying!

It's really attractive to see men go for brains and not so much for looks. I mean its great to see a damsel in distress now and then.. but is the ditzy, distressed, airheaded thing really attractive?

your opinions please. :)

okay, we all know that dog scuffles are just a fact of life at the dog park, but what if it is a serious fight? if someone elses dog "starts" a fight with my dog, who is responsible for the vet bills? what if my dog is attacked but then seriously injures the attacking dog? who is responsible for bills in that situation?

nothing has happened yet, but i was just wondering becuase i've heard conflicting reports on who has to pay/criminal charges.

my dog would never start a fight, but he would definitely finish it if he was attacked. there are so many idiot owners at the park that i want to know what my rights are.

If Rep.-elect Keith Ellison, the first Muslim elected to Congress, will use a Quran once owned by Thomas Jefferson during his ceremonial swearing-in Thursday then he is definitely making a mockery of the Quran and exposing his own lack of understanding of the Quran and Islam and his rebellion to the commands of Allah.

Some critics have argued that only a Bible should be used for the swearing-in and they are perfectly right since the God of USA in whom "We trust" is a 3nitty and has absolutely nothing to do with Allah.

The Bible is not Revelation and the Quran should no be placed alongside Bible to give Bible equality with the Quran.

A Muslim swears by Allah with the index finger of the right hand upright to signify the Oneness of Allah and not with the Quran.

The Quran was not sent down as a book and has no right in the Court of Disbelievers.

The Musim is not allowed to legislate other than what the Quran allows and this cannot be compared with eating pork to stay alive.
