I would really love a blackberry, but I don't to have to pay an ongoing monthly amount to have it on a contract etc. Are there any PDA's which aren't mobile phones. In other words are there any I can just buy outright and not have to pay any additional costs for each month?

Make a list of what you would want on your PDA, then compare the models above to see which one comes the closest.

Good luck!

i have a HP/Compaq h3800 Series I got it off eBay for a cheep price and it was worth every penny!!! i love the hell out of it!! It has no phone built in, but if you want a phone on it you can get a cool little slide-on "expansion pack" that configures instantly with the h3800!! I LOVE IT!!!

hope this helped!

Palm TX, HP iPAQ, Sharp Zaurus, O2 Orbit (PDAs) and RIM BlackBerry Pearl 8100, SonyEricsson P1 and P990i (smartphones), those are the main time-honored ones and the alternative is as much as you. verify the specs on line and decide the main suitable one for u.

The problem is Blackberry's "feature" is the e-mail. Without connectivity, it wouldn't be a Blackberry. So your request is illogical.

The original Palm series didn't have cell phones. I have a Palm M505 that doesn't have a cell phone and it works great.
