My daughter is extremely hard on her jeans, and is constantly burning right through the knees. Yah, yah... I know, ripped jeans are fashionable. But, we live in Wisconsin, and it is cold here right now. A 5-year old shouldn't be getting an icy draft up her pants because she has holes in the knees of her jeans. So, I am wondering how to patch jeans. I am worried an iron-on patch will be too stiff for the knees. However, I am also a terrible sewer. I do not have a sewing machine, so anything I sew will be done by hand. Any ideas? I would like it to look nice and be relatively easy for a sewing dummy like myself.
