"WASHINGTON: Counting on the support of the new Democratic majority in Congress, Democratic lawmakers and their Republican allies are working on measures that would place millions of illegal immigrants on a more direct path to citizenship than would a bill the Senate passed in the spring.

The lawmakers are considering abandoning a requirement in the Senate bill that would compel several million illegal immigrants to leave the United States before becoming eligible to apply for citizenship.

The lawmakers are also considering denying financing for 700 miles, or 1,100 kilometers, of fencing along the border with Mexico, called for in a law championed by Republicans and that passed with significant Democratic support.

The Senate plans to introduce its immigration bill next month, with an eye toward passage in March or April, officials said. The House is expected to consider its version later."

has anyone ever done research on the moon god?

Im 25, and there's this guy who's 22, for the last couple of years anytime we meet eachother we always end up together. We havent slept together so it's not like im easy or something. Honest Opinion re. family holiday practice?

I am sorry this is long but really want some honest opinions. My hubby's family has a holiday tradition that just gripes me. The family "consists" of 4 siblings & their kids/grandkids. For Christmas, EVERYONE buys for the siblings. They buy for each other, the grandkids & the kids buy for ALL of them. The "kids" (approx ages 20-40) are left out. We are expected to get gifts for all the siblings & all the young kids & get nothing in return. I KNOW the holiday is not about what you get but it gets expensive to buy gifts for the four siblings & their dozen grandchildren-knowing that the gesture is not returned.
I have talked to my husband about trying to start the same tradition as my family. We buy for the grandkids (about 6 of them) & ALL the adults play dirty Santa ($25 limit).
We spend about 75% less $ on my family party than we do on his. We DO take food to each party (not taking this expense in account).
Should we suggest a change of this practice or just be silent???

cute waves....?

I have medium longish hair and i want a change from straight or curly hair. Does anybody know how to create those soft waves (which are like in the middle of curly and straight hair) with out using any gel/mousse/spray etc. Just as natural as possible, may sound impossible but i really don't want to 'gunk' up my hair i want to try and keep it as clean looking as i can.
