Im 25, and there's this guy who's 22, for the last couple of years anytime we meet eachother we always end up together. We havent slept together so it's not like im easy or something. I really like him, he's cute and sweet and has never hurt me like most other men have. I think he'd like us to be more serious. Should i give him ago, what would a 22 yr old want with a 25 yr old would he really want a girlfriend older than him

That is not a big difference in age

Why not?

I married a woman 4 years older than I am...
(Everyone thought I was older, because I have a "more mature" attitude about me, and she actually thought I was older too, and was suprised that I wasnt!).

To this day, people think I am the oldest..(I guess it goes with being an old fuddy-duddy, right? LOL!)...

If he has a good head on his shoulders, and looks like he may hold a job, and is sincere, and good husband material...(is kind to animals and kids), then I would surely say "go for it!"

If he can hold a job, or has been in a job for awhile and looks like a good provider, then "go for it!"...

I'm sure you two have more in common than you think, (as my wife and I have a lot in common, and her values are like mine so we were compatible), and if you find you share more and more things together, a history, then, its time for the next phase...

I wish you well..

Jesse

I don't think your age difference would matter. It's only 3 years. And you obviously like each other and get along if you always end up together each time you meet. Wether a relationship pans out or not will probably not depend on a mere 3 yr difference in age. But does it bother you? It kind of sounds like it is you who has misgivings about his age...

If he wants a "mommy" then it could very well work out. Men mature considerably slower than women. Your 22 year old friend is probably 5-7 years less mature than you. Do you really want to be in that kind of a relationship? If yes, then it has a chance of working. Of course, there are the exceptions. Occasionally women don't mature as they should and men may mature a little faster, but if that is the case you should tread carefully. Neither one of you would be ready for a REAL relationship.

Please remember this: Somebody's age only is relative to the understanding that they have for the time they've lived. So, in other words, there are plenty of folks that are older in years, but unwise in experience. Women are usually more mature than guys on the average, but some guys like myself can break the mold. Be in the moment, enjoy each other and let things flow..

My brother was about 17 when he started dating his girlfriend who is about 2 years older than him. They've been together for like 6 years so far. I think you should give him a chance but be careful.

I am 36 and my wife is 39. we have been married for 10 years. It just depends on the people and how well they go together. If you want to go out with him ask him. See what happens. The worst think he can do is say no.

my boyfriend is a year and 1/2 younger than me, we have been together for about three years and you just have to compromise. there have been hard times with age, but the only thing we have trouble with is the fact that im 21 and he isnt. I dont see anything wrong with a younger boyfriend. good luck

Are you kidding? That's only a 3-year difference. When I was 40 I dated a 24 year old guy. Boy, was that fun!

Good grief! My last boyfriend was 19 years younger than me, and we went together for ten years. Forget about age. The things you mentioned about him are what counts. I, personally, prefer younger men.
