I love Italy...I spent a couple of summers there a few years ago...the people were GREAT and took us in as part of the community which was tiny! Scotland has quite a few Italian families...one of my best friends at school was from an Italian /Scottish marriage ...I know around Edinburgh for sure there is a big population and Glasgow...Quite a few were taken to POW camps after WW2 and decided to stay...

Italians seem to have got the cafe and ice cream trade in Scotland completely under their control!
Years ago their was a well known pop singer called Lena Zavaroni, she was Scottish - but you can tell by her name where her parents came from.

There are a lot of Italians living in Scotland. A friend of mine living near Glasgow said that many that live in her area are originally from southern Italy, Naples etc.

I am not sure about Scotland, I didn't meet any when I lived there. But there are thousands living in Peterborough where I now live and they have some wonderful bakeries here.

Glasgow has a fair few - indeed, it was the third biggest community in the UK (perhaps still is).
