A miscarriage is the premature, involuntary expulsion of an embryo or a fetus before it is old enough to live outside of its mother.
Miscarriages happen for different reasons and when they occur very early in the pregnancy it is usually because there was something basically wrong with the embryo. When it happens later on in the pregnancy it gets more complicated and it can be from various reasons. If miscarriage becomes a pattern it should be evaluated and a plan of action should be decided upon .
Good luck

A miscarriage is when the baby dies prior to 20 weeks....after 20 weeks the baby is considered viable outside the womb. If the baby passes after that its called a still-birth.
There is nothing you can do to prevent either.
