I have medium longish hair and i want a change from straight or curly hair. Does anybody know how to create those soft waves (which are like in the middle of curly and straight hair) with out using any gel/mousse/spray etc. Just as natural as possible, may sound impossible but i really don't want to 'gunk' up my hair i want to try and keep it as clean looking as i can.

Try wetting your hair and then once it is 80% dry put it into a braid. The more the braids the smaller the waves. The more tight teh braids are, the bigger the waves. Leave your braids in for a while, or maybe over night and see hwat happens when you take them out. DO NOT brush too much, if you wnat just rush your fingers through to prevent knots.

Simple, shower, brush your hair out well and then put it up in a bun, then go to bed. When you take it down in the morning you will have beautiful soft waves reminiscent of how a lot of celebrities are wearing their hair.

if you cute up an old towel or dishrag and then after you take a shower, take about one inch sections of your hair and wrap the pieces of material around each section. Sleep on it like that and in the morning take them all out and you'll have wavy hair.
