if u get on a tube or overground train in peak time, even though it is busy and there are no seats left, people are still happy to stand in a crush inbetween the doors - rather than move down the isle where there is plenty of space and be more comfortable. Why is that? Also if one person is sat in a "section" of seats, people seem reluctant to sit in any other seat in that area if all the "sections" are occupied and would be happy to stand!!! WHY?!!!
I think human phycology and behaviour in commuting and public transport is funny and fascinating so if anybody can come up with good reasoning for this, would be greatly apprieciated.
