I was struggling with sexual sin and I wanted to get out of it. It was such a strong tie and I didn't feel like I could shake it. I remember praying over and over again, "God, please don't leave me. If you leave me, I'll shrivel up and die." Anyway, it was a dark time.
Then He reminded me of what He said in Hebrews, "I will never leave you nor forsake you."
Hope that helps, God bless.
Dig into the word and pray. Psalms is always good because David honestly questioned God in the hard times of his life. He even felt like he had been abandoned. And God accepted His questions, "You desire honesty from the heart and in my deepest parts, you make me to know wisdom."

Yes. Much the same way as others have and many times. Don't quench the spirit when you have a tender heart towards God. If we never hurt, we wouldn't know the comfort of His touch. If we were never sick, we would never know the Great Physician. "Tears are a language God understands. God sees each tear of a broken hearted soul, He sees each tear and He hears them when they fall, God weeps along with man, and takes him by the hand, Tears are a language God understands." (southern gospel song lyrics)
If earth were perfect, we wouldn't yearn for heaven. If sinners never saw Christians find comfort and joy in impossible circumstances, they would lose hope that God could do the same for them. Many times God lets us feel pain so we can comfort others with the same comfort we were comforted with. The old hymn also says "He washed my eyes with tears that I might see." We have more compassion for others when we have felt the pain. Jesus has suffered more than us all and understands the feelings of our infirmaties because He's been there too. When we let Him take our bitterness and turn it into joy, that's His greatest pleasure, to draw us into His arms. It grieves Him when people don't turn to the Father for comfort in trials because as any good earthly father would do, He loves to care for His children.

I feel God's comfort all the time. It's in a song that comes on the radio, a call from a friend, a hug, a kiss, an answered prayer. God is everywhere you just have to pay attention. He's constantly talking to us. Sometimes like a father who knows what's best, like a brother who protects, and sometimes like a friend there to listen or give advice. God talks to us constantly everday. All you have to do is shut up and listen. And that comforts me everyday.

I feel God's comfort every day of my life. My husband and I are Christians, however, we suffer from chronic illnesses, and my husband is disabled. Some of you will probably say, how can you believe in God when you suffer daily? The answer to that question is this- the circumstances in our lives are not happy things- but we both feel a deep seated joy because of God. He allows our struggles but in our weakness He is strong- and His comfort is what gets us through. Without Him, there would be no comfort.

When I was extremely upset, crying, I was praying out loud intensely feeling hurt inside after several minutes, I then started to feel a warmth from inside, more at peace, fell asleep shortly after. In the morning the problems are still there but I felt better mentally and physically, knowing God was there with me.

Yes, I've felt God's comfort many times. I've felt it during my quiet time meditations and reading his Word; I've felt it while praying during a crisis situation in my life. I felt it when I lost my first grandchild as I held her still born body right after my daughter had given birth to her. I felt his comfort and love when I first embraced His Spirit upon being filled with the Holy Spirit! I felt it during times of lifting up His name through praise and adoration in the midst of the sanctuary, and at home.
The list goes on and on...
Peace,
Hope

offended at God? throughout a foul time? super question. I even have persevered many, many sadnesses throughout my long lifetime, and that i'm right here to assert, no longer proudly, that I even have been offended at God, and at circumstances dissatisfied in Him. yet, via all of it, He has been with me......and that i've got felt His convenience, definite certainly. whilst all became darkish as night, there became constantly a pinpoint of sunshine on the tip of the tunnel, which I knew became my sign that God became with me in that tiny easy, even in that tiny easy. There are struggles even now with grown teenagers that apparently have desperate they grew up in an unhappy domicile......and it breaks me up. yet i be attentive to God is right here with us, and that he's with them. My prayer is that the Lord will instruct them the reality so as that they are in a position to give up being tormented via lies of the enemy.
