Wisdom is a form of intelligence learned from life and experince and being smart is to use you brain capacities better then other or to study a lot. I'd rather have wisdom than being smart. Anyway one is related to the other but the other is not related to the first. "A fool can learn nothing form the wise, as the wise can learn plenty from the fool"

A wise man knows never to argue with a fool. A fool will bring you down to his level and defeat you with experience.

“Education: That which discloses to the wise and disguises from the foolish their lack of understanding.”

“The wise man does at once what the fool does finally.”

“A word to the wise ain't necessary, it's the stupid ones who need the advice.”

“Wisdom is the right use of knowledge. To know is not to be wise. Many men know a great deal, and are all the greater fools for it. There is no fool so great a fool as a knowing fool. But to know how to use knowledge is to have wisdom.”

“A foolish man tells a woman to stop talking, but a wise man tells her that her mouth is extremely beautiful when her lips are closed”

“A man gets what he wants by acting smart; a woman, by playing dumb”

“A smart man is one who doesn't make the same mistake twice”

You are wise from an accumulation of your life experiences and how you put them or not put them to use. You may be smart in ways that others are not or you may be one of those "brains" that can study, answer and know everything. You may be smart in being able to analyze and come up quick solution to a problem or situation. You may be wise by understanding that if you get involved in a certain situation it may not be necessary a good one for you

Wise is someone who is knowledgable. One who knows vast amounts of things normally about obscure things.

Smart is the ability to learn something quickly, or having exceptional common sense.

Wise people may not be smart, and smart people may not be wise.

For example a wise person will take years to finish a Rubic's Cube, but will know everything about the world. A Smart person will know nothing about the world, but will finish a Rubic's Cube in 10 minutes.

For me being wise means that you put all other things aside when helping people, you understand that you aren't the only person. Being wise is more personal. Anyone can be smart, but only special people who truly care and want to help can be wise.

Scientists are smart, for instance. But a lot of them are very self-centered. One can have an high IQ, but not know how to get along with other people, or how to live wisely.Wisdom is usually prominent in older people, but there are young people who try to live wisely by doing things according to how they were brought up by goood parents, and who look to serve high ideals, as the Bible teaches.

Someone can be smart and still make mistakes.

Someone who is wise has made those mistakes before, learned from them, and avoided them in the future.
