In my opinion, your faith maybe wavering and if that's the case, you need to pray and ask GOD to increase it. You may want to consider renewing your mind in GOD's Word. Ask him to deliver you from doubt and fear and then stir up that beautiful gift of his love and Spirit that's already within you.
Peace,
Hope

Maybe all you need to do is find the Message from our Creator intended for the time we live in. People are embracing antiquated religions that are apostate and wondering why the world is in such a hateful mess for 90 percent of us. Obviously you are on the internet. Do a little casting about for some answers to what the Creator intends for us. Lots of answers out there and its likely to get a bit confusing but if you keep at it you will make it through to the ultimate result.

You want to know what's wrong with you? You are afflicted with a condition technically known as being a human being.
Most of us don't see God face to face so obviously it's going to be a bit tougher to trust that which isn't readily visible to us. I think that how we live is more important than what we believe and living according to your principles is probably the best way to strengthen your faith.

Since you mentioned being sad; I believe the poem entitled," Footprints ", would be appropriate here:
One night a man had a dream. He dreamed he was
walking along the beach with the Lord. Across the
sky flashed scenes from his life. For each scene, he
noticed two sets of footprints in the sand: one
belonging to him, and the other to the Lord. When
the last scene of his life flashed before him, he
looked back at the footprints in the sand. He
noticed that many times along the path of his life
there was only one set of footprints. He also noticed
that it happened at the very lowest and saddest
times in his life. This really bothered him and he
questioned the Lord about it. "Lord, You said that
once I decided to follow you, You'd walk with me all
the way. But I have noticed that during the most
troublesome times in my life, there is only one set
of footprints. I don't understand why when I needed
you most you would leave me." The Lord replied,
"My son, My precious child, I love you and I would
never leave you. During your times of trial and
suffering, when you see only one set of footprints, it
was then that I Carried You."

There is nothing wrong with you. We all fail. We all fall. We all come so sadly short. When we totally rely on God, things go much smoother. Just continue to talk to God and ask Him to be in control of your life. Try it and see how that goes for you. Never give up on God. He'll not give up on you.

We are all sinners by nature. We need to ask God everyday for guidance to help us turn from our ways. The fact that there is so much temptation out there does not help matters. The world leaders need to start preventing/stopping organizations/groups from tempting all of us to sin. They need to held more accountable for allowing sinful things to occur in our society. For instance, I think the British Government should never have legalized prostitution. It is obviously wrong for any Government leader to allow this kind of thing to happen. In my opinion, they should have cracked down on the pimps that sold women into prostitution... not legalize prostitution.

You are in a great place by understanding that you cannot do these things. Jesus said in 2 Cor.12:9 "My grace is sufficient for thee; for my strength is made perfect in weakness." So, by saying that....Jesus knows that we cannot do the things He wants us to by ourselves. He is telling you to ask for His strength and to claim this promise that He gave. Nothing is wrong with you except that you are human and weak like we all are.

(Luke 6:46) And why call ye Me [JESUS], Lord, Lord, and do not the things which I say?
AND.....
(James 1:22) But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.
How about this for a start?
Thanks, RR
