I believe that no matter where you reside, be it the Middle East, China, or the United States the vast majority of the people only wish for an opportunity for a good job and a safe place to raise their kids.
Furthermore, while the majority population may be religious I think most would agree that their religion does not have an absolute monopoly on the truth, that people who do not believe what they do will not necessarily be damned for eternity, that there is room for peaceful co-existence, and ultimately that a persons actions are much more important then their words or professed beliefs.
Assuming this is true, and the majority of the population feels this way, how can you leverage these people and beliefs into true political and social change?
