They were a myth created by drunk sailors to explain away why they smelled like fish after mounting a dolphin.

No, I don't think mermaids ever existed, at least the general idea of them as being pretty girls with seashells over their breasts. I think that a sailor that has been at sea for an extended amount of time living off rum and dying from scurvy will see just about anything that reminds them of a woman.

However, for a long time scientists said that giant squids didn't exist and certian fish were extinct but are now finding those "myths" to be real. Maybe the sailors were seeing a creature that could be mistaken for a memaid? I live in Florida and have seen manatees. You'd have to be extremely drunk to think them a mermaid. So who knows. Maybe in time we'll know for sure.

Those are a misconception of misoginists and some atheists from afar. Those sweet and singing creatures, all alike no doubt were a spawn to see into the original sin of racism and prey of respect under the coward sojourn of compulsion. So many are taken by the flair of their cowlike figure and their everready singing voices, very much like the lorelei or the gasinon, those were too mermaids. Those distressing yet impetuos thoughtforms did exist under the spell of manas and talisman craftship, you know none of this so any comment will be just manas sorrowing out, I saw it happening. Any further atrocities and we in this time will too see to mermaids, glad you brought this up. Hope have been of help.

Yes, I believe it's quite possible.
Just as mammals flew before birds. Did you know that ?
There is so much that we don't know about this planet that we live upon. More and more scientists and others are finding facts in legands and other tales. Besides, since we only use about 10% of our brains capabilities; Just imagine the possibilities if we used 20% or 30%.
What might we learn ? Discover ? Realize ?

A mermaid is an Elemental and yes 'Elementals do exist' partly in 'our realm and partly in 'their realm' (a realm between realms)

Elementals are shy creatures, faeries, pixies, elves, dragons, unicorns, pegasus and yes, mermaids too. They work with 'Mother Nature' and are shy of humans due to the uncaring attitudes we have towards our environment.

The exist as our Angels and other Spirit Guides or Masters exist, just in another realm 'to us' which is one with all that is...Our Divine Source.

They manifest for only those that believe and are proficient shapeshifters. Mermaids are fish, faerys are butterflys, or dragonfly variety....

Many books are written on Elementals and also many Healers work with Elementals as they, too, wish to heal our planet and those whom dwell upon her.

Dont mind the finger pointing.....one always has a hard time from others when 'Faith' can bring us many other spiritual gifts of God. I have been working with Elementals for two years now. And yes they suprised me too, that they were real...and they talk pretty good too! Seek out Doreen Virtues site, she has written healing books with Elementals and Mermaids are included in her oracle cards. Enjoy!

Blessings be yours in peace, light & laughter!

Oh yeah. Haven't you seen the Starbucks logo? Mermaids secretly control everything.

No. The 'mermaid' was a misinterpreted sighting of a manatee by some desperate sexually deprived sailor seeking relief.

Fishes and people have never reproduced with each other.

Doesn't matter what I think. Mermaids don't exist. Even if I think they do.

Yes, just like the T-Rex and others existed once on the planet, just like BigFoot existed once, the Loss Nest monster existed once.

Anything possible.

no. "mermaids" were seen by drunk sailors. however, the sailors weren't seeing mermaids at all. in fact, the sailors were so sexually deprived from being away from their girlfriends/wives for so long that they imagined seeing their girlfriends/wives as "mermaids." what they really saw was a manatee.
