I have seen a couple of questions today stating that Christians in America are being persecuted. I don't think these people own a dictionary. If they do, they don't know how to use one. They can't possibly think that anyone is going to believe they are being persecuted, except others who feel the way they do. (This is what lead me to ask about the War on Christmas.)
That's just it. Other religious groups are asking for the same freedoms the majority enjoys and they feel this is persecution. This has to be one of the most childish things I've seen a group of people try to pull in a long time.

Only taking a stab here, but likely because of political correctness and the position of those who look down upon strict Christianity. The legal system (the courts) have made it so the minority is constructing the laws and the majority is no longer to act as they once did. Additionally, the media always tends to slant towards a more humanistic (less religious) view, completely taking God out of the picture. Now, I am not offended by this because I believe, for the most part, religion is a personal matter (as I imagine you would also, as a Buddhist). No one should feel persecuted, but it happens. As far as you being persecuted...you have to be kidding. For years I associated primarily with Buddhists her in America, and it never came up or would have crossed their minds (although I did find it odd that most states don't recognize a marriage performed by a Buddhist monk). I think everyone should be more like those Buddhists I knew, and not be easily offended, but respect all people and all beliefs. As they always told me, no matter how you eat a cake you still get to the middle.

because whilst are Christians persecuted? Christians are the single persecuting everybody else. basically seem at historic previous. Any Christian that feels persecuted needs to awaken. on the different hand, fat, gruesome, white, American adult adult males, as i'm, are very lots persecuted. it quite is tough to get provider in eating places and shops. If i opt to alter jobs, it quite is tough to get interviews. If i'm finding for a date, i'm getting the chilly shoulder (even once I wasn't fat). Being in basic terms a white American is undesirable sufficient, yet I actually have a penis too, and that's tremendously lots a cursed person in this united states of america anymore. it quite is not my fault for what got here approximately in historic previous. i'm no longer non secular. I got here from a foul family members. I even have performed no longer something, nor my family members it relatively is racist or against the different persons for any reason, be it creed, race or faith. yet, I save my chin up and stay my existence in a satisfied way. existence's too short to be unhappy.

No, it isn't impossible. Being in the majority as a nation does not mean an individual Christian does not get persecuted for that belief by someone.
Likewise, if being a Buddhist gets you persecuted in your social circle, you should consider getting a different, less ignorant social circle.

It's not impossible, although I will admit being a Buddhist might be a little worse :)
If more than 90% of American's are Christian's and are not persecuted, please explain why it is so hard to display a nativity scene in public, or sing carols at the "Christmas" play?

Hang out here for a while and you will see how we can can feel that way.
You make a point about the Buddhist but those opposed to Christianity are very vocal, unkind and intentionally wanting to verbally harm.
Example below... do you think she is exaggerating a bit? There seems to be a lower level of respect and behavior..from those who say they espouse tolerance!

Because some and I mean "some", not all, have a martyr complex. They think that by looking for persecution they are securing a good seat in the hereafter.

Happy Solstice to you as well, I know where you're coming from. They should try being any other religion for one day and then they'll see how annoying it is when you get about 50 times a day you're going to hell because you don't believe in my god.....

If answers is any indicator, Christians are persecuted on a regular basis. That's okay, Merry Christmas anyway!
