I'm looking for an honest answer. I'm not interested in being put down, nor am I interested in lame answers (from Christians and non-Christians alike).

I would just like to know, in this allegedly "tolerant" society we are supposed to live in, why it is acceptable to put down Christ and Christianity.

Yet, if we insult Allah, Mohamed, Wicca, atheism, Hinduism, Buddhism, or a host of other beliefs we are often viewed as intolerant, narrow, or close-minded.

I am not asking this as a Christian, but as a man. I just want to know why it has become acceptable to use "Jesus Christ" as a curse in society, but not any other deity or religious figure.

She lives on the other side of the country, but it's been far too long now. She did a "tribute" to her ex-boyfriends on her myspace the other day and included him. It creeps me out. It also creeps me out that I can't stop looking at her pages.. I'm so depressed about it that it's almost become an obsession. I know I should stop looking, but now I can't.. HELP!

there's this guy at school, and whenever we walk past each other or see each other we always smile big and say hey, and we sometimes ocassionally add a 'how you doing?'. i have a friend who talked to the guy i like about whether he liked anyone, and he said that he doesn't know whether he likes me or not because every time we have an actual conversation it's always on msn, but my friend said that my crush does like me. on the last day of school i went up to him and wished him a merry xmas and to have a good break and he asked if i was going anywhere, and i said yes then he asked when i would be back and where i was going. i then reciprocated the question and he said no.. then he held out his hand for me to shake, so i shook it. then he said to 'talk on msn' (he hasn't been online since then!) i really like him and i don't know whether to get my friend to tell him or not, as i don't have the guts to do it myself... should i? or not?

My dominant arm had a surgery similar to a cubital tunnel operation due to my ulnar nerve failing as a teenager. This was 6 years ago, since then I have been in pain. Within the past few months it has gotten worse. Its like severe pain, It prevents me from sleeping at times and generally makes me miserable when it flares up.

The pain starts at around my elbow, it feels like inside my elbow then radiates down my arm like in a stabbing wave of pain. It makes my hand lock and that hurts as well. And sometimes it just goes numb.

Ive been taking tylenol, ibuprofen, alieve, and OTC medications in large quantities to try to control it. i tried adding heat, cold , warm water, massaging it or anything I've read about to try to deal with it.

I'm not a huge fan of Docs so I've been avoiding it but it's getting annoying that it is affecting my quality of life. Ive had sleepless nights spent watching crappy TV while I try to get over it.

Any ideas?

I am 28 have been having my period since i was 12 or 13 i don't know when it started but at least for as long as i can remember when i get my period i have the worst sinus problems! I am constantly having to blow my nose and i am still stuffed up..
This seems to happen with almost each and every period i have. Is this normal and what can i do about this.

i'm going to break it off with a friend in the next couple of days, and i'm wondering how i should go about it. i'm not looking to simply sever ties with this person, but the idea of an active friendship with them- calling each other, hanging out when possible- seems to be what i want to back away from for several reasons. i would love for them to convince me it's not a good idea, and i'm not 100% sure i want to be doing this, but i think i'm going to...how should i approach it, or should i ponder it more, or what?
