I would rather not just own shares in a company or mutual fund because these options don't appear to actually promote environmentally friendly companies. Is there some way to invest in venture capital firms that in turn invest in environmentally friendly companies?

My ex broke up with me after 7 years together, when i was going through a hard time, possible redundancy at work and my nan had just had a stroke.He told me that he didn't love me and that he wanted to stay friends, then he started to blame me for the break up, that i didn't do enough for him and that he didn't want this anymore (all said nastily), and even though he was still attracted to me he saw me like a sister. Yet we are due to go on holiday abroad with my family and he still wanted to go!. I can't stay friends, as it hurts. Am i right in telling him not to come on holiday, even though he will lose money??

My boyfriend and I have been dating for over two years and I'm 18, almost 19. While I was at college this fall, my boyfriend spent the night at my dorm all the time and my parents knew. Now that Im back, everytime I spend the night at my boyfriends place, my parents freak out and try to take things away from me (car keys) so that I'll still listen to them. Ive been dating him for so long that I thought they would be use to this and that its not that big of a deal. Everytime I try to talk to them they just treat me like a child. How can I convince my parents that I can spend the night at my boyfriends place? I feel like they'll never stop treating me a child ever.

When I met her she was cool, I went to her house and she had 4 stockings up but none had my daughter's name on them and that's her grand-daughter..then she had a pic of the EX and her kids (which there his also) but I was currently with him at that time it wasn't on a frame and it was an 8x10 pic that was almost about to hit the floor.
When I go to her house to drop off the baby for a visit she doesn't let me in the house, when she comes to drop of the baby to me she always has an attitude, she trys to get info from me to tell her son (dead beat dad) I was there for her son when the chips were down in his life drugs everything and I took care of him and that EX GF wasn't there for him at all..why is the mother hating on me bro and its been 8 years now I was there for him not the EX..does hse hate me cause she know's deep down her son loves me?

My family and I will be going to Hardford, CT the day after Christmas, and we'll be staying there for five days. Three days will be my hockey tournment, one our whole team is going to New York City, and then one day is only half becuase we will get there at noon. I need to make a list of things to do in our free time, which we will have a lot. The tournment is in Hartford, and we are staying in Farmington.

Any ideas on what to do? We will be there the day after Christmas to the 30th. There is me (14), 11 year old brother, and my parents. Thanks!!

Sometime within the next 100 years, some predict the world may come to an end!!

Either global warming/oceans rising or civilations will just collapse and the world will look like it did in the movie "Escape From New York". Both are already in the works. The polar ice caps are quickly melting and poverty/crime are on the rise in ALL major cities.

Since it's the holidays, and just for kicks, where do you want to be when the day comes????
