I don't really want to give them my dime.... I want to help. I'm not asking you guys for advice. I'm asking for names. These dogs are shot if they are not sold. These are the dogs I want to save.

We are a petstore and can buy through those auction but we do not as we do not want to encourage that type of treatment to animals. paying them only encourages them to do more. Those puppies usually have problems or undesireable characteristics and could not be sold to reputable sellers or other breeders.
We can get you a quality puppy from a reputable breeder and we can do it way below the prices of petland and other chains. If you absolutely want to do it we can work something out with you to enable you to do it but we will not stand behind anything that comes through that process.
One of the problems we face is that not ALL pet stores use puppymills and / or brokers. The big chains obviously do because they need a larger sale quantity. The smaller ones like us go to peoples homes or breeders themselves and get them. NOT ALL PET STORES USE PUPPYMILLS!!!!!
You can see our puppies and contact us at our website: ItsJustPuppyLove.com

I do not live in that area. But i bet a lot of the rescue groups in your area are working on this problem. I know a lot of shelters in Michigan are. Try asking your local shelters and rescue groups how you can help out. I think it is great that you want to save these puppies. Puppy mills are HORRIBLE. Just be sure not to buy the puppy from the puppy mill itself or from pet stores. You would just be funding the puppymills.
If you don't want answers, then delete your question. If you really want to help these dogs and puppies then you need to take care of the source. Do you not understand that buying these puppies is giving money to the puppymills to just make MORE puppies, that you are then going to want to save. Everyone wants to save these animals. The best way to do it is to bust the people who are running the puppy mills. It is against the law, and animal cruelty. If you do find names, which it sounds like no one KNOWS the names or places, then call animal control and have them go in there, confiscate all the dogs and put them into rescues, and take the people to trial, and hopefully put them in jail. Buying the puppies is going to increase the problem. Not an opinion, a fact.

Usually they are hard to find but there are many out there especially in missouri. Keep in mind that if you buy from the mill, even at auction, you are supporting their industry and not really doing anything to stop the problem. They will simply take your money and buy more dogs and subject them to the same treatment.
if you want to get more involved you could try http://www.puppymillrescue.org/

Our National breed club has stopped buying dogs from auction. You may rescue a couple....but they will make MORE to take their place. It is horrific what they go through, but a lot of "mills" now breed just for the auctions. So many people will buy the dogs to "save" them, that the millers know this and produce for that. By giving them money, you will make them produce MORE to live that vile life.
Hey, YOU asked. We are intitled to give our opinions. Too bad you are going to doom even more dogs to that miserable life.
And for Jim above...no REAL and GOOD breeder would EVER sell their puppies to a pet store, so what ever fantasy world you are currently in...WAKE UP!!!! You either get them from local mills or BYB. Don't think we all don't know that!!!!
And Jim, I went to your little pet store web site and you ARE a TYPICAL pet store selling CRAP!!! Designer mutts, "toy" sized pups in breeds that should NOT be toy, way off standard looking puppies.....these DO come from either crappy BYB or "mini-mills"-----people who breed for pet stores but are smaller than the average puppy mills. If you can't see that, it is sad. But, frankly, I am sure you know this. How could you not?? SHAME ON YOU!!!!!!

Quite honestly, you'd be doing much better if you got the puppy mills themselves shut down. People need to stop buying these pets from the stores and wherever else. They are unhealthy, sometimes mentally not sound, bad bloodlines, etc. The dogs should not be rescued in the sense you're thinking, but should be euthanized before their suffering gets any worse.

you could help by not going to the auction and supporting them by buying their merchandise(the puppies). Boycotting is the only way to go...NEVER buy puppies from pet stores, or a breeder you can't trust....to really honesty help a dog...adopt from the SPCA.

Do not give them a dime.
Even though you feel as if you are helping one dog you are in fact giving them money to mistreat more dogs.
