That is a complex question that deals with the whole race spoils system in the U.S. In California we managed to abolish the state Affirmative Action programs through a referendum. I think this is the general trend nationally. I hope and expect you will see the end of it in your life time.
My advice to you is just to go about your life and find ways to overcome this discrimination and achieve your goals. The degree of "oppression" as you put it, is not so profound that you cannot simply find ways to maneuver around it.

The white male is not oppressed. How many, women, black or jewish presidents have we elected? Furthermore, the white male has been the oppressor. I think your question should read more like this. Why are the oppressed biting back. Why can't we call them what we want, do to them what we want. Why are women folk aloud to vote? Why are coloreds aloud to ride in front of the bus? Why are the biting the hand that beat them, i mean that feed them?

I don't know what you're talking about. I'm a white male and most people throw opportunity at me, and I only wish and pray all people have the opportunity I have. I am well educated, articulate and confident; therefore, I am marketable. Unfortunately, I'm disabled and I am unable to work, but the opportunity is there.

because out gov has their heads up their a@@ with everything, domestic and foreign policy. they rob the american people to support their personal foreign agendas and then try to tell us whats good and bad for us. instead of supporting our poor, uneducated and homeless, they find that our tax dollars need to be spent 2,000 miles away. so, while the gov is busy f-ing everything up, they're able to gain supported by giving charity to the minority groups who blame the white man for all the issues they have. oh yeah, i guess by the way its ok to be racist against whites, because we have been so evil to eveybody.
