Our school talent show is coming up in a couple of weeks, and I want to sing in it. Problem is, I have no clue what song to sing. I go to a really strict private school, so it has to be "appropriate." Also, I don't want to sing like an opera song or whatever, but I don't want to sing a really pop-py pop song. Any ideas?

Is it binding to Catholics?

If it is binding would a Catholic be considered 'leaving the Church" if they disagree with it?

An interesting quote I found that is the reason that puts this question out here: "As to the new teachings we have to be clear, that they are not binding" - Cardinal Felici. (Later Cardinal-President of the Ecclesia Dei Commission)

I asked this question within another ? and was not answered; I think this one deserves it own space. Forgive the redundancy.

Doest it seem fair that, due to a democratic senator's sudden illness, the whole democratic voting process would be negated by giving the Republican governor the right to appoint any one he wishes to replace the recently appointed Senator. Especially when this move (which would negate the vote of the majority of the people) would then give the equivalent to a power majority to Republicans while it was clear that the US people want a change in the Senate and the Congress. This seems like a huge flaw in the voting process. What do you think?

I read a mother in Georgia is trying to get the Harry Potter books banned because she thinks they're teaching children to become witches. So, I'm curious as to what you think. Personally I think she's a nut job. She has the right not to allow her children to read them, but she does NOT have the right to tell other people what to let their children read.

I believe He's more than able to do that. How about this question.

Would God cause someone to die, in order for YOU to gain faith in Him?

Remember, NOTHING happens by accident. EVERYTHING has a purpose, and a reason.

Here is my theory: It is crucial to vent feelings and emotions, and since men are taught not to cry or express their feelings, maybe the inability to express repressed anger, insecurities, etc. builds up so much that it seeks a way out through harmful actions...what do you think, is there any truth to this theory?

Almost every night my girlfriend calls her ex and talks to him for long periods of time, and she wants to spend time with him. I have a problem with it and so does her family. She does not seem to care that it bothers me or her family. I have told her before that I do not like her hanging out with this guy because he tells her that he loves her and wishes he was still with her. Me and my girl are pretty serious at least that is what I thought, we bought a promise ring with the intent that when we get the money we would buy a wedding ring. Now I dont know, I told her that I did not want her hanging out with this guy because he has severe anger issues and he tryes to get her to leave me, and bad mouths me all the time, she told me the more I told her no the more it pushed her away from me. I vented my frustrations to her and said some things about him that was just talk but she told him and he then confronted me and said he wanted to kick my ***. what sould i do?

My bf and I have been together for 1 1/2 years. When we first got together, my parents loved him. He treats me like a queen, is very respectful, loves my kids, and makes me truly happy. 9 mnths into the relationship he moved 900 miles away from here to be with his kids b/c their mother is a drug addict. He flies in once a month to see me and his family and we talk at least 2x a day. This works for us. We plan to get married next year when I finish college. The problem? My mom has said in the past that if I have anything to do with him she's "done with me". My bf is flying in for a week during christmas and I want to take him to my family's Christmas Eve get together. How do I tell my mom that I'm bringing him with me and my kids and that if she doesn't like it, none of will be there. Both my parents are very good to me and I couldn't have asked for better parents. Its just that I feel, at 29, its time I live my own life and stop letting my mom act like a dictator. What do I do?

The term "separates" is often used with reference to suits and tuxedos. What is exactly meant by it?

Does that mean:
Jacket and Pant are to be selected 'separately'. OR
Suits that will 'separate' at seams.

Plz clarify.
