I know for me, it's because Fridays are busy days (either with work or school) and saturday you can rest up before a date. I just feel better and have more energy on a saturday (when I can sleep in!).

Friday could be her girl's night or it can be her babysitting night. Also a lot of people work on Saturday so staying out Friday night would be hard. Most places are closed on Sunday so it is better for sleeping in.

Simple: Friday, you've been at school or work the whole day, and you're tired and want to curl up and go to sleep, or watch a movie. Saturday, you've often got the day off, or at least part of the day off, so you have energy.

Saturday gives you an opporotunity to spend more time together, instead of hanging out for a couple hours after school.

Berry gurl is right...friday is a somewhat hectic day at work for most people and while a girl may feel like kicking up her heels a bit...an actual date requires a bit more primping.

saturday mornings can be busy for people aho do all thereerrands that they can not do in the wek due to work so they do them then. if you were to stay out top late the night before you may not get needed things done in the morning
