So I've seen Christians throwing around hell rather flippantly, here and elsewhere - "if you don't follow Jesus, you'll burn in hell!"

Now think about it. Hell is supposedly horrible beyond anything that we can fathom. Being there for a few seconds is unimaginable torture. I'm thinking that even if someone burned down my house, killed my loved ones and ran over my cat, I wouldn't want to punish them by making them suffer so excessively for eternity.

God's supposed to be more compassionate than me, a mere human. So (a) how can he stand to have people suffering in hell? Why doesn't he do everything he can to save them from that? (And I don't want to hear that "look at nature, God created it, that's how he proves he exists!" Sorry, a pretty tree is not enough proof to make some people believe wholeheartedly in something invisible.)

And (b) is it really Godlike for Christians to throw around hell like a cheap threat, not really caring about what an awful place it is?

All I know is he passed away early 1950s, family was from France and he lived in La Honda. Our family bought his home many years later and there were LOTS of old photographs and antiques in the home when we cleared it out. I want to know more about him bc I own some of his art and I was also wondering where he was buried, and if he has any family alive out there that might still be alive........

I got my ears peirced about 4 weeks ago, and the other day I had to get X-rays for my teeth and they made me take the earings out, but they would not come out! I will be graduating in May with a bachelors degree in psychology. After taking a year or so off I want to go back and get my masters degree. I am not sure if I should get a masters in social work or psychology. I want the degree that will give me the most versatility and opportunity. We have a 13 week old Pug that rocks back and forth on his butt and yelps lightly like he's in a bit of pain. We've had his anal glands expressed, twice and de-wormed. The vet is stumped, too. He want's to send him to a specialist (pug specialist?).

I've been watching Survivor this season and would really like to be a contestant on it...but I'm only 18 and you have to be 21. I looked up some other shows (just curious about their age restrictions) and they all seem to be 21+ as well. Why is this? There are maybe two opportunities on Survivor where alcohol are involved, if you win reward, and there's enough camera men to regulate it (drinking ages are different in different countries anyway). I can't really think of why else you would have to be 21; what else do you have to be 21 to do that you can't do when you're 18? Are there special liability issues? Does anyone know how to contact the producers or someone related to Survivor and ask them why?

I am unsure of how this works out first off do you have to be 18 to have a car in your name or do you have to have a parent or guardian sigh as well? Do you need to have a licences at the time of your name being put as title owner ? Do you need insurence be for you can get the title or when you get it you can it and list the car as unactive?
