Yes, but we don't just "send" our Garbage to the USA. It is a financial arrangement, where a private garbage disposal company has accepted a contract to incinerate our garbage, and was able to underbid a similar garbage disposal company in Canada. So worry not Americans, your people are profiting from this, we aren't just trucking our garbage down to your country and dumping it Willy nilly.

Some, but the US sends more to Canada. And theUS actually wants the Canadian garbage in order to produce heat

Yes you are correct !!! 1 Half of the garbage from Toronto,Hamilton , and Niagra Falls is shipped across to Buffalo N.Y. Iam not 100% on the other Provinces...

Toronto exports garbage to somewhere in the vicinity of Detroit, but the crap that the USA dumps into our freshwater great lakes and the pollution they put into the air is far worse... and we actually pay to put the garbage there... what does the States plan to do when their pollution kills not only our fish and supply of fresh water, but everything in the vicinity of their border?

Toronto sends its garbage to Michigan, yes. Not all of Canada.

Some Canadian provinces send a portion of their trash to US incineration facilities, while some US states do the same.
Its pretty common in Ontario (in the news too) and a $-generator.
