When I power up my lap top, it works fine for about 20 minutes. After that, the screen flickers a few times, then goes blank, usually a blue-ish color. I took it in and had computer techs look at it, but they couldn't get it to do it again, claiming they left it on for 4-5 hours. After running diagnostics, they determined there's nothing wrong with it. They said I might need a cool pad, so I bought one. I tried it last night and the same thing happened after about 20 minutes. Any ideas? It's a Toshiba, bought in January, still has warranty remaining.

My daughter is 3.

I have been with the man i will soon call my husband for almost 2 years.

Her real father has only seen her 3 times, and that was when she was really young (between 3-9 months)

Her real father is in the military.

At what age should I tell her, and what do I say?

She loves my finace, and calls him daddy.

Some family members of mine tell me I should never tell her, but I feel that is wrong. She needs to know where she came from.

But at what age and How do I tell her?

Is it just me, or has anyone else noticed that the MOMENT the dems gained control of the House and Senate, the reps TOTALLY changed their stance of the War in Iraq? Or is it the War on Terrorism? Or is it the Liberation of Iraq? Oh wait, or is it the Search for Bin Hidin? I am sitting here listenting to REPS saying that we are LOSING the war in Iraq and that the president has spent far to much money. Two months ago, they were saying we were doing great in Iraq. Which is it?

and things being 'pimped out'. whats up with everything needing to be 'pimped out'? if these rappers had such a rough life, why don't they use all of that money they're making to help out the kids in the situation they were raised in? wouldn't that make sense? if my pops beat me growing up, if i struck it rich, i'd build a battered women and childrens shelter in my local neighborhood at the very least.

My boyfriend always says that i am negative and if i changed how i responded to things, then maybe things would be better for me. So the newest thing that came up that is bothering me is that, we have been living together for a year. He is a pilot. He has took a part time job that I was not really wanting him to take. Anyway, he told me that he has to fly the owner to the carribeans from the 21st-26th. So he will be away for Christmas. Also for the same amount of time for another holiday coming up soon after. Well I'm not turning cartwheels!! So I am suppose to be supportive, yet I am going to be by myself for Christmas, totally. Which if I say that then I am being ungrateful of his career, and selfish. But he is going to be living it up in the carribeans! I have no family and friends where I live, so I will be alone. How do you not be negative and be ok with it?

Everybody I know usually calls their dog Rover or Spot. I called mine Sex. Now Sex has been very embarrassing to me.

When I went to City Hall to renew the dog's license, I told the clerk I'd like a license for Sex. He said, "I would like to have one too!"

Then I said, "She is a dog!!"

He said he didnt care what she looked like. I said, "You don't understand, I had Sex since I was 9 years old."

He replied, "You must have been quite a strong boy."

When I decided to get married, I told the minister that I would like to have Sex at the weddimg. He told me to wait until after the wedding was over. I said, "But Sex has played a big part in my life, and my life revolves around Sex."

He said he didn't want to hear about my personal life and would not marry us in his church. I told him everybody would like having Sex at the wedding. The next day we were married at the Justice of Peace. My family was barred from the church from then on.

When my wife and I went on our honeymoon, I took the dog with me. When we checked into the motel, I told the clerk that I wanted a room for me and my wife and a special room for Sex. He said every room in the motel is a place for sex. I said, "You don't understand! Sex keeps me awake at night."

The clerk said, "me too!"

One day I entered Sex in a contest, but before the competition began, Sex ran away. Another contestant asked me why I was just looking around, and I told him that I was going to have Sex in the contest. He said that I should have sold my own tickets.

"You don't understand," I said. "I hoped to have Sex on TV!"

He called me a 'show off'!

When my wife and I split, we went to court to fight for custody of the dog. I said, "Your Honor, I had Sex before I was married, but Sex left me after I was married."

The judge said, "Me too!!"

Last night, Sex ran off again, and I spent hours looking all over for her. A cop came over and asked me what I was doing in the alley at 4 o'clock in the morning. I said "I'm looking for Sex."

My case comes up next Thursday.

Well, now I have been thrown in jail, been divorced, and had more damn troubles with that dog than I ever foresaw. Why, just the other day when I went for my first session with my shrink, she asked me, "What seems to be the trouble?"

I replied, "Sex has been my best friend all of my life, but now it has left me forever, I couldn't live any longer, so lonely!"

And the doctor said, "Look mister, you should understand sex isn't a man's best friend, so get your self a dog."
