I wrote it down and now I SEE. I think in my negative behaviors I probably did some work for the destroyer. I destroyed someones
opinion of me. I caused sadness and pain for others. What I do
does affect others in my life, one way or another or eventually.
If I hurt others in any way I have destroyed something.

A class of warship, the name deriving from their original function of protecting fleet capital ships from a new threat:
Torpedo Boat Destroyers.
Contemplating that, I recall how language drifts, for "torpedo" itself once meant "mine" a term that has also migrated from the digging of tunnels.
Looking at the other answers I wondered what the popular view would be:
Googling "Destroyer" gives me warships (and Conan!), on first page, together with a music group I'd never heard of. And that pretty much holds for six pages!
Sorry if that isn't what you were hoping for or expecting.
But it's a full and honest reply.
And no, I don't connect any Destroyer with negative behaviour in my life.

False teachings. In which my life proved them to be wrong. The saying of " you have to go through hell before you get to heaven ". has been a strong influence in the style of life I seemed to follow until the day I stood up to ask and answer some really important questions. The word destroy can be used to destroy thoughts I don't believe the word was meant to destroy life. We can destroy a way of living through habits, when we think of our life as an entity it is capable of dieing to self. and yet we live on.

I think about the Devil who tempts mankind to their doom!
Rev 9: 11They had as king over them the angel of the Abyss, whose name in Hebrew is Abaddon, and in Greek, Apollyon.
Abaddon and Apollyon mean Destroyer. Satan is also called the ruler of the kingdom of the air.
Eph 2:1As for you, you were dead in your transgressions and sins, 2in which you used to live when you followed the ways of this world and of the ruler of the kingdom of the air, the spirit who is now at work in those who are disobedient. 3All of us also lived among them at one time, gratifying the cravings of our sinful nature[a] and following its desires and thoughts. Like the rest, we were by nature objects of wrath. 4But because of his great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, 5made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions—it is by grace you have been saved. 6And God raised us up with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus, 7in order that in the coming ages he might show the incomparable riches of his grace, expressed in his kindness to us in Christ Jesus. 8For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— 9not by works, so that no one can boast. 10For we are God's workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.
