I have very thick and somewhat coarse, medium length hair. I do not wash my hair every day, more like every couple of days. I blow it dry. I also use a flat iron on it almost every day. I use Tressemme Heat tamer on my hair before I blow it dry and before I use the flat iron, but my hair is still dry, brittle, and has split ends.

Are there any good products out there that would help with my problem? I just want sleek, shiny, soft, healthy hair. Do I need a hair mask, different heat styling product, deep conditioner, etc? Are some brands better than others?

It is about 4 years old and was given to us about a month ago. I guess it's used to table food so we've tried different brands of dog food. Well we have a cat and I always catch it eating cat food and it doesn't touch the dog food. Any ideas or suggestions?

I've noticed in most communities, "whites" live in certain neighborhoods, and "African Americans" live in other sections. Most people that I've met from other other races are pretty decent people, so why are we so uncomfortable living around people of other races?

(Yes, there are "trash" from all races, but I'm talking about the decent people from other races who are hard working, raise their kids well, etc).

this guy ased me out friday morinng and we really like each other everything was perfect all day we talked and talked and hugged he was perfect like i actaully wrote this note to him that sed i love you and put it is his pen and he wrote back i love you to.
he was perfect . and since i was on restriction i couldnt hang out with him saturday so i went to our school basktball game on frieday after school . we were together the whole time happy as anything . hes the 1st guy ive actualy wanted to be with and that kept me happy in i dont know when. but turns out one of my friends told him i was gunna dump himand go out with him .
at the b ball game all the sudden he sed he had to use the bathroom he wrote s note and gave it to 2 of my friends 2 give to me that sed i dont wanna go with you no more.then he left.i was absoluly heartbroke. i havnt seen him since but i know he likes me he juss got freaked when that guy told him that stuff.but the thing is everything was perfect at the bball

It shocked me to find out, that not only do the Family Leave Act entitle mothers to only 12 weeks maternity leave, but also that these 12 weeks are unpaid (eventhough companies can choose to pay for the maternity leave).
America is one of the bottom countries around the world when it comes to maternity leave.
Wouldn't it be worth fighting through unions for longer leave (for mothers as well as fathers), i.e. the right to return to your job after a full year off, as well as for the right to get a decent amount of money (either from the company or the government) while you are on paternity/maternity leave?
