My Chiropracter corrected mine. As I understand it, the carpal vein runs down your arm to your hand and the bones of the wrist can shift to put pressure on that vein and limit blood supply. Having the bones in the wrist properly adjusted can relieve the pressure - having it done consistently can help carpal tunnel in the long run.

Peace!

I don't know what anatomy is I missed the studies on that! However I had carpal tunnel problem with my wrists. Doctors wanted me to go for surgery but I didn't I treated my wrists with Comfrey Poultice daily and it worked!
My wrists are now in good enough condition that they don't need surgery. I know the carpal tunnel can comeback then it's back to the Comfrey Poultice treatments for me!

The first guy was right. You need to relieve pressure on that nerve. Wearing the over the counter braces with velcro at night that hold your hands up and back, will help tremendously.

This does make going to the bathroom during the night a challenge, to say the very least. Just take off one of the braces, it's not worth the hassle.

wearing a brace on your wrist to reduce hand movements... maybe some ice on it before you put the brace on...
