For instance that in some Islamic countries a man and woman cant talk to each other in public!

I am currently going thru a tuff point in my life where I have realized the full effect that being sodomized as a child has brought about. And although I don't really know how to address the situation yet(23 yrs later) I have to wonder... how many of us are there?

How many men(specifically) were sexually abused as children by members of their families. And how many of those families have spent the last 20+yrs trying to cover it up?

(sorry ladies, I know that you all get abused too, but people hear you when you speak. Not so for men.)

In 2 Samuel 13:1-21

Not only did he rape his sister, but God did not smite him for it, and his father David did not punish him or subject him to any ridicule. TWO years later, his brother Absalom killed him.
I think the details of the rape were disturbing. Am I right? Maybe Christains were explained why this was put in there? God did not punish him, so?

asalamwalaikum

I am almost engaged :) to a very old friend of mine and before we go through with the formal engagement (with the families and all that fun stuff) we want to make sure that we have the same idea of marriage and the same expectations.

** i was wondering if anyone knew of the rules for husbands and wives in Islam. the rules for marriage as whole will help, but i am looking more for the specific roles of a husband and a wife.

I understand all the Tesco Extras are makign the Nintendo Wii available for sale at nidnight tonight (Thursday/Friday). Anyone any ideas about how many Tesco will be holding, only I dont fancy queueing for an hour only to be told they have none.

Or is anywhere else staying open late for the release?
