You could have it already. I have been smoking two packs a day for the last 25 years, and, as of my last physical (2 weeks ago) I don't have it. So, it is random. But if you smoke that little, why not just stop and avoid the risk? It's not like you would be missing out on much.

Not as close as I am! I smoked a pack a day for 10 years and a half a pack a day for the last 5. And I am not even 30!

No one can say for sure. You may never get cancer. It is more appropriate to talk about risk. By smoking, your risk of cancer is greatly increased. The longer you smoke the longer and more you are exposing nearly every part of your body (not just your lungs) to carcinogens which may mutate cells to the point of becoming cancerous. Please do yourself and everyone you love a favor and find a way to quit.

It just depends some people can smoke all their life and never get cancer and others can smoke for a month and get cancer. Put the longer that you smoke the higher your risk.
